It’s like I said – HTC seems to have something to announce nearly every other week. This time, it’s the Android-powered HTC Sensation XE, the first phone infused with the Beats technology HTC acquired when they acquired the company itself.

More than Beats integration, though, it bests the HTC Sensation in a few different areas. You’re getting a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch qHD display, a 1750 mAh battery and an 8GB or 16GB microSD card.

You’ll also be getting a pair of in-ear Beats by Dre headphones that has an inline remote control. If I were looking for a new dual-core HTC phone I would not sneeze at this offering. This one’s going to Europe, Asia and the Middle East starting at the end of this month. Read on for full press details.

HTC AND BEATS INTRODUCE NEW HTC SENSATION XE™, THE FIRST PHONE WITH INTEGRATED BEATS AUDIO™

New 1.5 GHz dual core processor and longer battery life extend the HTC Sensation XE’s sophistication and overall experience.

TAOYUAN, TAIWAN – September 14, 2011 – HTC Corporation, a global designer of mobile devices, today unveiled the new HTC Sensation XE – the first in a new line of HTC smartphones to feature Beats Audio technology to deliver studio quality audio. Taking HTC’s flagship handset to a new level of high fidelity audio, the HTC Sensation XE offers consumers the ultimate multimedia experience, setting a new standard for audio quality in the mobile market. In addition, the HTC Sensation XE boosts performance and battery life even further with the addition of a blazing fast 1.5GHz dual core processor and an extended battery that enables you to listen, watch, speak and browse for even longer.

“Audio is a crucial part of any consumer’s mobile experience and we are continually pushing the audio boundaries to encompass not only improved voice but music, movies and games,” said Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing, HTC Corporation. “The HTC Sensation XE offers a truly incredible experience that demonstrates our commitment to place consumers at the center of their mobile worlds.”

The ultimate audio experience

The HTC Sensation XE is the first handset to offer a Beats Audio experience – a combination of software & hardware that allows you to hear music the way the artist intended. When used with the exclusive Beats by Dr. Dre in-ear headphones, the handset automatically switches to the bespoke Beats by Dr. Dre sound profile, delivering audio tracks tuned specifically for the headphones.

Whether you are using any of the many music services available in the Android market you will notice fuller bass and crisper vocals and a new level of clarity and range offering audio the way the artist intended it to be heard.

Beats Headphones

The HTC Sensation XE also ships with a microSD card (8GB/16GB) allowing you to carry thousands of songs. The exclusive Beats by Dr. Dre in-ear headphones feature a remote control, allowing you to pause, play or skip through tracks and answer/end calls while the phone is in your pocket.

Availability

HTC Sensation XE will be available across EMEA and Asia Pacific from late September

  1. Any word on what there announcing next week? Vigor? Bliss? or maybe the entire Fall lineup? Hoping for Vigor, Sensation XE looks awesome, But I noticed its not getting Sense 3.5 from the press shot compared to the Runnymede.

Edit: October 7th, hmm, sounds like a familiar date.

  2. Damn im jealous.
I’d hop skip and jump to toss my G2x for this now.

  3. Nice wish I lived in the UK I get one. But then again waiting might yield something better but also i’m waiting on the nexus prime so everything else is just fun to see. But them headphones are looking sweet wouldn’t mine having a pair ov them.

  4. small incremental upgrade over the Sensation

  5. Wtf… Too fast man… No wonder htc’s phone depreciate so fast…

  6. So pissed right now

  7. just got my sensation from t mobile about 10 days ago however it’s going back to to sense constantly reloading

  8. This thing is sexy as hell. And Yea I’m a young’n who buys into the beats hype. If this ever came to VZW (hmm vigor..) I’d probably toss my TB out a window for it. Lately I must can’t seem to get enough if sense 3.0, stock seems to boring, maybe ICS will change that but we will see..

  9. It’s still using the same FLAWED BlueZ blue tooth stack that won’t phone book sync to cars older than 2010 that have blue tooth 2.xx

Skip this and get the Galaxy S II or Nexus Prime.

  10. It gets me really pissed. It doesn’t matter when you get a phone It’s always crap the next month! I just got the EVO 3D which just came out in late June and HTC has already came with a better phone. You can never have the best nowadays. They need to come out with new phone every year that’s it. But I guess you have to face your never going to have something thats the best unless your rich.

    1. Evo 3D came out in June. They gave it 4-5 months. Plus this phone isn’t coming in America yet. Only Europe and Asia. So you still have one of the best phones for now. But the Samsung Galaxy S2 will ruin that for you.

  11. Everyone calm down. You act like it’s a new concept that Europe and Asia always has better phones than us. Go thank the FCC for all the rules and regulations that companies have to go through before releasing anything.

  12. Kind of takes the p1ss abit, had my new (“flagship”) sensation for 4 exactly 2months 2 the day and yet already I feel that ive wasted money for the top of the range model which really isent top of the range. Why the fek couldn’t HTC cobble this fone together in the 1st place then brand it “flagship” so they’re consumers feel happy 2 pay rather then constantly regret things. I would of been more then happy 2 wait 3months for this beaut!

  13. I think I might buy the housing from this one to use on my Sensation any idea on if its the same dimensions?

    1. Go on the world wide version of htc.com and they have the phone already up and has the dimensions and everything else. It might be different because it has a bigger battery.

  14. They really dig red, black, and silver don’t they?

  15. I am eligible for an upgrade, and I really was looking at getting an HTC Sensation, but since I’ve heard about this phone, I think I am going to wait! I have Beats headphones right now, and they sound amazing, so who knows, this phone can potentially be awesome! Since it has 4G and a dual-core processor, streaming should be so easy! I like to use the DISH Remote Access app on my Galaxy S, and it is awesome! This app lets me stream live TV or recorded shows from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver to my phone anywhere I am! As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have had the opportunity to use the app for a long time and I know that once the Sensation XE comes to the US, it will be awesome on it!
