Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Upgrades Coming Soon – Starting With Business and Government Users

4

Motorola Xoom owners could be seeing their 4G LTE upgrade ahead of the rumored September launch. Only one small catch — Motorola will begin the upgrade process with “business” and “government” Xoom owners first. The pilot program for the 4G LTE upgrade will notify business and government users via email that their upgrade is ready with directions on how to ship out their Xooms free of charge. Hopefully soon after that, “regular” Xoom owners can expect similar emails.

This whole “4G LTE upgrade” fiasco has got to be frustrating for Xoom owners now being placed on the back burner even though they largely contributed to the Xoom’s “success.” I could only imagine how embarrassing this must all be for Motorola who promised to have the “first 4G tablet” only then to have that title snatched up by the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. All I can say is, hang in there guys.
