Pantech Apache Passes Through the FCC Complete with Verizon 4G LTE

7

Looks like Verizon will be getting some Pantech love in the near future as revealed in this FCC filing today. Pantech hasn’t made much of a splash in the Android scene here in the states but they may be trying to change that thanks to this Verizon 4G LTE enabled device. Still no word on some of the more important specs like processor or screen size but I’m suspecting we may have the U.S. version of their Mirach A budget device complete with 4G. Let’s hope Pantech will wise up and release one of their more impressive Android devices in the U.S. soon.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Probably will overcharge for this too like all their other 4g phones. Come on verizon bring some more high end 4g lte phones.

    1. August 18th. Something big.

      1. Source?

          1. I’ll believe it when it happens. Probably just an announcement of the bionic which everyone already knew was coming. Bring on the vigor, prime, or revolution 2.

          2. You’re using the same site as a reference? A site that somehow manages to be a bigger piece of shit than Phandroid news-wise? I would use the National Enquirer as a source before androidforums and all of it’s obviously homosexual and homosexually-moderated posts. I refuse to take seriously any site that allows mods who actually change the name of a development team in a forum because it makes their pussy hurt to see it in print, and even worse, claim it was their ‘boss’ who made them change it. As if this is the Huffington Post or the NY Times. Its a shithole yellow rag blog site, nothing more. Why have I even read it? Same reason educated people watch NASCAR, it’s like reading a car wreck, its hilarious. Seriously, they let assholes like Richard Yarrell run rampant, but censor the most inane things like “retard”. Go ahead and block this. I know where a certain mod lives in New Mexico. I also know my way around Cornell because I used to help the stupid kids. Go ahead and censor me, see what happens. I’ll be very happy to oblige.

  2. You say you want a high end 4g phone…well be prepared to pay for it. If people were paying $199 for a DX2 or a D3 wouldn’t it be reasonable to pay $250 for a TB. I agree the charge was a little high considering it didn’t give you a whole lot more then the TB. But to each his own. The revolution however had no chance. Same price a the TB with a lower quality cam, the price drop makes sense on this device. But I’m willing to throw in an extra $50-$100 for a premium phone with 4g power considering the fact that I’m not paying a higher monthly rate to have 4g. Can’t wait to see what’s in store the next year our so with android advancing so quickly. Also a device like the TB with 32 gigs of memory is still priced better than a similar capacity iphone. More gb+ 4g+android os seems like a bargain price to wield the power of verizon 4g.
