HTC Ruby Gets Reflected on HTC Flyer, But We Don’t Know Much

11

The photo you see is of an HTC Flyer. And on that HTC Flyer’s display is a device that folks are calling an HTC Ruby. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about it. There’s a camera on the back and it sits above what looks to be a dual-LED flash. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack. And it’s white. But other than that, nothing.

From the looks of things, it could be anywhere from 3.7 to 4.3 inches in size. The dual-LED could indicate that this is a high-end device as HTC tends to put lone LEDs on their mid-range or low-end offerings. I should note that the HTC Ruby was once a codename for the HTC Arrive, and that turned out to be a Windows Phone 7 device. It’s possible this could be a Windows device as well, but its design leads us to believe that Android could be much likelier. What do you guys think? [Electronista]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. What the f#@k is this article about?!?!?! A reflection on a TABLET SCREEN, really? Must have been a slow Android news day huh Quentyn

    1. It’s about a phone we haven’t seen previously. This is newsworthy.

      1. No…we HAVE seen this phone FRONT and back. It’s the MyTouch 4G Slide, this article is “fake news” technically.

        1. They do look alike, but they’re not the same phone.

  2. The person who took this picture could obviously see the front of the device. Why?!

    1. check your facts before you call someone out like an ass…not the same, look at the position of the camera bezel, the one pictured in the article is right aligned with the flash right below the lens, and text to the right. the 4g slide has a centered camera with the flash to the right….they do look similar though…

      1. In my one sentence, all I did was point out how similar it looked to a specific device, which you agree with…

  3. Isn’t Ruby a WP7 phone?

  4. wow, i like the look of this phone. new nexus, maybe? (hopefully?)

  5. Enhance! ENHANCE!!!
