Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Now Available Exclusively for Xperia PLAY Owners

13

Ah, yes. One of my favorite console shooters, Bad Company 2, is now available on mobile. Unfortunately, it’s only on one mobile – the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY. Folks with the only commercially available Playstation Certified phone can download it right now using the “Get Games” app on their phones.

The game has full 3D graphics, something I thought I should point out considering other big name franchises have made their ways to mobile in very disappointing ways (I’m looking at you,  Activision and Ubisoft).

Anyway, if you need a new shooter and are undecided on what to download, Bad Company 2 should definitely up high up on your list of games to consider. [EuroDroid]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. That seriously doesn’t look ANYTHING like the game with the same name I played last year o_O

  2. What a shameful way to degrade the greatest FPS tittle.
    The graphics look pathetic

    1. Considering that’s gameplay from a PHONE I don’t think it’s all that bad.

      1. Exactly.

  3. Yea, considering the circumstances, I think it’s comical anyone would call this game bad looking.

  4. Looks kinda ugly. Gameloft’s FPS titles usually look much better than this. Not to mention iPhone 4 titles like Rage and Infinity Blade.. the graphics of this game is truly pathetic compared to them.

    1. You cant compare Battlefield: Bad Company to a game that just “looks good”. The overall quality, graphics, sound and the famous destructible environments of the Battlefield games makes this a far superior title than anything on the iPhone. If they wanted to strip all of what makes the game good just so its pretty, I’m sure they could but they didn’t and ‘m glad they dont. I cant stand watered down games with good graphics but really crap gameplay.

      1. Game play on the iphone versions is great, live online play is available on most iphone games. And it’s not just 1% of the OS, only experia, that can play them, they work on many more devices with ios. It’s another example of fragmentation, like we see with netflix, only a very few random phones can use quality desired apps.

  5. is this only for UK, don’t see it anywhere market and/or verizon xperia play app

  6. Nice to see ea releasing games on Android! Now port the remaining titles over and that’ll be great!

  7. Is this going to have online play at all?

    1. The iPhone version has multi-player online play so I assume this one does to. It’s only 4 players max though.

  8. As cheesy as it may look to me because I play it on PC, it looks great on that phone.
