14

For the Android-loving artists out there, AutoDesk has launched yet another professional-grade drawing app. This time it’s SketchBook Pro, their first Honeycomb offering and quite possibly their best to date. Taking advantage of the larger screen real estate afforded by tablets, SketchBook Pro provides plenty of amazing features that will have you creating masterpieces in no time.

SketchBook Pro won’t make you the next Picasso, but if you have an inkling of talent it provides you with all the tools you need to create some pretty stunning work. It’s $4.99 in the Android Market now.

  1. holy shit now that’s some application

  2. I’d still only end up with a stick man and sunshine with sunglasses

  3. If I could draw, I would totally buy that for my Transformer.

    1. Learn to draw. I followed “Fun with a Pencil” by Andy Loomis (it is out of print but you can find a pdf online) and I can draw heads that look like the real thing. Next, look for his other books. Its a shame that most people will tell you to do this and that and never teaching you how to really draw.

      1. Titan books is reprinting all of Loomis’ books. “You can get Figure Drawing for all it’s Worth” now from Amazon and gradually his other books will all be available too. I can’t wait until “Creative Illustration” is reprinted.

        1. that is very good news!

      2. Thanks ari for your recommendation of that book. I just found the PDF.

Now I’m off to buy this app for my Transformer.

    1. Adobe’s releasing a full-fledged Photoshop app for the iPad soon, so I imagine it’ll be a matter of time until it reaches Android tablets.
