Evernote for Android 3.0+ Now Available, Phone Version Gets Rich Text Editing

1

While the Evernote application for Android handsets and smaller devices translated well to the big screen, it could still have done with some specific Honeycomb love. Fortunately, they’ve just released Evernote for Android 3.0+ devices. It makes great use of the added screen real estate you get from larger devices, of course, and just looks great overall. Notes are displayed in a scrapbook-like manner and you’ll get all of the great features that the website offers.

The Android application for phones has also been updated, adding new rich text editing features (bold, italics, etc.) and a new widget. All of this is free, of course, so make no delay in getting it from the Android market. Read more about the changes and the new tablet-specific version here.

So of all the forums and things that i’ve seen, no one has mentioned a huge flaw in the evernote app for android be it phone or tablet, the lack of background audio recording. you initiate an audio recording and exit the app and it quits recording. WTF the pOS can do it and it wasnt the one with multitasking from the beginning. Come one folks
