New Android-Powered eInk Nook on Sale & Shipping Early

5

It’s not June 10th, folks. That’s the day that the Android-powered, eInk-enabled Nook from Barnes & Noble was set to go on sale. Reports have flown in that preorderers are starting to see it on their doorsteps and the device is now available for purchase online. (And it ships right away, too.) We’re not mad at early availability, but is it at all possible that someone at Barnes & Noble forgot to type “0” when putting the device’s shipping date into the system? Meh, who cares – go get it! [CrunchGearThanks to everyone who sent this in!]

  1. Having full android will be a huge plus.  Sure it is still in black and white, but you will be able to surf the web and check email on it once it is rooted.  Barnes and Nobel may even put full android on it like the Nook Color.

  2. Maybe dyslexia (dyscalculia)?  June 01 June 10?

  3. Craziness.. the battery life will be incredible.

  4. Love the idea of a Very light dedicated ereader but I am a night reader, I wish this had a little lcd light some where on it that illuminated the screen some how for night reading.  Love my Nookcolor though but the idea of a battery that lasts for a month is amazing.

  5. can it run kindle android?
