Vodafone Should be Shipping Your HTC Sensation Today

12

Pre-orders for the HTC Sensation have been going on for quite a bit now and Vodafone originally promised they’d be bringing the phone on May 19th. Welp, it’s May 19th and a good amount of you should be seeing some shipping confirmation numbers pretty soon. The HTC Sensation is HTC’s first dual-core handset (across any platform).

It has Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz MSM8660 processor, a 4.3 inch qHD display, rear and front cameras, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0 and more. Folks in the USA on T-Mobile can look forward to this one sometime down the line, but Vodafone users in the UK are getting first dibs on the Sensation. You can get it for free on tariffs starting at 35 quid. Share your smugness over at the Sensation section of AndroidForums.com!

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1.  BREAKING NEWS. THE SHIPMENT OF HTC SENSATIONS HAS BEEN STOLEN! Our security cameras captured this event as it happened! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD1CSgsDwZI Help us find the culprit! The winner will get 20 HTC Sensations (even though they were all stolen!).

  2. Played with one in a shop today. Beautiful handset. Very very nearly walked out with one.

    1.  until you saw the SGSII

      1. Nope.

Feels far more ‘premium’ than the SGSII

      2. Really Denny?

  3. Oh and to get back to correcting the factual errors in Quentyn’s article:

The website states that the phones would be delivered today (the 19th), so people would have had shipping confirmations etc yesterday.

    Also, it’s free on £35/month not £25/month.

  4. Oh, how I wish VZW would pick up this phone!   I am really interested to see how the “instant picture” on this device works and why the heck all phones don’t function like that.

  5. However, as much more premium as it may feel, it’s not. Bottom line. The only thing that the sensation had over sgs2 is qHD, and samoled plus is better anyway

    1. It’s not made of cheap plastic and – for many people but maybe not you – the Sense OS is way better than TouchWiz (the lockscreen stuff is cool for starters). The way a phone looks, feels and functions is important to a lot of people.

  6.  If you go through http://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/ you can find it for free from £30 a month and 7 months half line rental by rebate….

    1. These £30 a month deals don’t appear to have any data usage included.

  7. Received my Sensation on Vodafone a day late(20th May), but worth waiting for.
Fantastic handset. Just trying to get used to the physical size!
