[Update: Gone!] Walmart Has The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer in Stock [Hurry!]

27

Walmart now has ASUS Eee Pad Transformer units in stock and ready to go. I probably shouldn’t type anything else because you guys have probably already clicked away from this page. For the few of you who haven’t, though, they have 32GB and 16GB versions on sale for $500 and $400, respectively. Yes, you’ll want to buy this tablet if a cost-efficient Honeycomb tablet is something you’ve been desiring. Hurry, though – I have a feeling these won’t last the entire evening. [Update]: Damn, that was quick. All gone now, folks. You should have guessed it wouldn’t have lasted long.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  2.  donezo already

  3. Already sold out. They never stay in stock more than a few minutes anywhere online. I was able to snag a tablet and a keyboard dock using this site: http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/tablets/asus/ Now that I have mine I don’t mind telling more people about it ;)

    1. Used that site to get mine too, was able to get the tablet and keyboard through Newegg too, which is my preferred PC vendor! I’m a happy camper.

With the keyboard, I had the screen on playing music all day at work (8am-4:30pm) and I had killed the keyboard battery, but the Tablet battery was still above 80%! It’s exactly what I was looking for, an always on, all day battery device, and quite portable too.

  4. yup… gone…

  8. why does everyone want these?

    1. Cheap, fast, good quality, amazing screen, novel concept, and until a week ago had the latest version of android, and Asus has promised to be able to claim that again in a few weeks.  Not a bad deal.  It’s the tablet I’d get.

  9.  $100 more gets you a better tablet imho and it keeps the doctor away

    1. wrong on both counts.

    2.  $100 more will gets you a tablet that actually works and has apps!

      1.  $100 more gets you a 9″ iPod touch…

  12. Well, I was just at Walmart… oh well

  13.  Asus kind of missed this opportunity. By the time they ramp up production, many will move to Galaxy Tabs and such. But hopefully they’ll be ready next time with Transformer 2 and Tegra 3!

  14. I wanted one at first but not anymore. After thinking about it, I just can’t validate a $400 tablet purchase when i can do everything I need on my Inspire 4G ….  nice to have but it’s really only a luxury.

  15. Typing this on my Acer :-)
