Sprint Nexus S 4G Pre-Order Goes Live at Best Buy: $200, Estimated to Ship April 18-21

12

Looks like Best Buy’s Nexus S 4G page has finally done away with that coming soon button. In its place is an “add to package” button – this means you’re able to order this thing just as soon as you can open up your wallet. You’ll have to put down the entire $200, apparently, but Best Buy estimates that this thing will ship sometime between April 18th and April 21st. We’re looking for an official announcement, but head over there in the meantime and check it out for yourself. [Thanks to all who sent this in!]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. I wonder if it will still be sold unlocked?? I am assuming so.

    1. A Sprint phone sold unlocked?? Unlikely, at best.

  2. Great addition to our network. That brings us to an industry leading 22 4g devices on sprint. This includes mifi’s and 4g usb sticks as well as smartphones and tablets. Not bad for the third carrier…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6Vqi8a_swg&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    1. Wow. What a hypocrite. You don’t include any of Verizon’s 4G hotspots or usb modems in any of your other posts, yet here you are including them in Sprint’s count. All I ever hear from you is how Verizon only has 1 4G device which just isn’t so. They’ve had at least 2 4G devices for several months, they just weren’t phones.
And before you even think of saying you never said that, here’s a snippet of a statement you made in one of the LG Revolution articles: “… a data only network with (1) device in LTE operation”. Keep your story straight or don’t say anything at all.

  3. Nice… stll want the 3D though…

  4. Does this mean that the Google voice integration with sprint will be launched at the same time?

  5. I’m anticipating both the Nexus S 4G and the EVO 3D. I really want the EVO 3D for all its’ hardware goodies, but I don’t think its’ features are something that I’m gonna be using on a daily basis (based from my experience with all the ground-breaking features of my EVO 4G)….I think I’m gonna take a break from HTC and give this Sammy a try.

    1. Just keep in mind the support level is not as high on the Samsung handsets… HTC rules in that department! ;)

I was on the fence as to which to chose as well, but HTC gets my vote hands down!

      Happy Trails!
      :)

  6. tried ordering online and got an error. When I called they said the online system is flaky if it works and have to go to store to pre-order. Called store and there still saying it is sometime this spring. FYI, if you select express ship it states arrival of 4/15, if it works that is.

  7. The April 18-21st dates are there as if you were able to order right now, which you are not able to, therefore they are meaningless. Like Marcos Rivera has already said, if you select Express shipping it states that you will receive it on the 15th. Does that mean you will get it Friday? NO. Good try though.

  8. I wouldn’t hold your breath I work for sprint and we don’t even have a launch date for the nexus s yet

  9. already pre ordered mine at best buy….only had to put 50 down for it, not the whole 200.
