Samsung Galaxy S 4G Coming to Walmart for $148.88

8

Pricing plans for the Samsung Galaxy S 4G are starting to be revealed for some retailers, at least. Though T-Mobile hasn’t committed to a solid figure, Walmart will be selling the device for $148.88 on a two-year service agreement with data plan. The price rises to $248.88 on a two-year Flexpay agreement, and sees a non-contract pricing of $650. For a phone that is more or less an upgraded Samsung Vibrant, the price seems more than fair.

  1. $650 without contract(the only way I buy my phones) seems a little much. Isn’t the average price for a contract-free, top-of-the-line Android smart phone usually about $530 in the US?

  2. Thats walmarts inflated price. TMO will probly carry it for $550 unless they drop the price on the Vibrant and sell this for $500 instead.

  3. You heard it here first… Samsung’s new strategy is that while everyone is upgrading the OS, they will downgrade the OS. This device will start with Froyo, but will end up with cupcake within a year… AWESOME!

  4. I don’t see it on our Inventory system yet in our Dept.
