T-Mobile Announces BOGO Smartphone Deal Starting Black Friday

t-mobile logo

Beginning this Friday (Black Friday for those that are counting) T-Mobile will be offering up a buy one get one free deal on select featured and “affordable” Android smartphone. New and existing subscribers who sign up for a family plan on a two-year contract and purchase the T-Mobile myTouch 4G, T-Mobile G2, or Samsung Galaxy Tab (or a couple Windows Phone 7 handsets) get their choice of the previously listed devices along with the Motorola DEFY, Motorola Charm, LG Optimus T, or T-Mobile Comet for free.

The deal last until January 18th and is good as long as you are a new subscriber activating at least two lines on an Even More family plan or an existing subscriber upgrading at least one line on your family plan. Pretty darn sweet, especially with options like the myTouch 4G and G2 available.

    So if I upgrade one line and have a family plan I get two phones? Do they have to be the same?

  • Aztec

    @moises
    i had to upgrade two lines last time and get the same phone but from what this is advertising is that u can buy one and choose any of equal or lesser value.

  • Estaban

    Do you have to start two lines with a data contract in order for this to work? Or do you get two phones for renewing just one contract on an existing family plan?

  • Aztec

    @estaban
    I am almost certain the only requirements are that you upgrade two lines on a family plan or open two new ones. it wouldn’t make sense for tmobile to give away a $500+ phone/tablet for free if someone isnt going to get locked in another two year contract.

  • xarophti

    I would definately consider locking in for another 2 years to get a BOGO on the MyTouch 4G. IF hubby was willing to upgrade. He’s gotten really used to the “mark 1″ MyTouch and we just started rocking the Froyo.

  • Edwinnn

    wait, so if i buy a G2 and activate another line on a family plan, I get another G2 free? Or do i have to get a G2, and then I pick from the Motorola Defy, Motorola Charm, LG Optimus T, or T-Mobile Comet as a free phone?

  • x70457x

    So, I’m due for an upgrade in December. Does this mean I could get a G2 and a myTouch 4G, with one of those being free? That would be totally awesome.

  • Aztec

    @Edwinnn and x70457x
    YES!!! you can choose any phone to be free as long as it follows the buy one and get one of same or lesser value and the first phone/tab must be “T-Mobile myTouch 4G, T-Mobile G2, or Samsung Galaxy Tab (or a couple Windows Phone 7 handsets)” and then u can get any device! spoke with 3 reps to confirm

  • jiggle

    If I want to renew my contract with the two upgraded lines, will I have to subscribe to the data plan?

  • androidfan

    I’m due for a free upgrade right now, so does this mean I can use my upgrade and not have to activae another line AND still get the BOGO or do I still have to activate another line (family plan) to get the BOGO?

  • Krissi

    Ok. I have two lines on a family plan. One of which is up for a renew in December. It was advertised all over the place that only one line has to be eligible for this Bogo. I really hope it is true :) Also…..Do you pay full price($400) for the initial phone or is it discounted? I am sure people will start posting more after this morning passes! Good luck to everybody going for it!
