US Cellular has just announced their latest Android smartphone, the LG Apex. The Apex is an Android 2.1 device with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and if it looks at all familiar that may be because it is simply a differently colored LG Ally, the mid-range device released for Verizon earlier this year. The specs remain the same as the Ally, a 3.2-inch 800×480 display and 3MP camera among them.

The phone will be available for purchase come November 19th at a price of $79.99 after an $80 mail-in rebate.

  1. Keyboard Looks Nice, too bad dpad isn’t on the left side. The dedicated call and end buttons are nice too.

  2. Android rolls onward.

Actually it doesn’t have an END button. I have one here in my hands in our store, and that’s just the sleep/wake/power button. It’s going to take awhile to get used to that. It still has the touch screen END button.

  4. Actually that is a end button I hve that phone too

  5. I’m 30-days new with a Smart phone and I’m loving what I can muddle through with. The How-To book is printed entirely too small and I get a migraine every time I spend time with it! Does anybody know of a website to d/l the How-To’s so those of us with “older” eyes can enjoy this phone as much as everybody else?
