Samsung Galaxy Tab Now Available on Verizon for $599.99

To round out Samsung’s Galaxy trifecta on the carrier we all know as Big Red, Verizon’s released the Samsung Galaxy Tab. If you want this device from them, you’ll have to pay the full retail price of $599.99 whether you opt-in to a two-year contract or not. It’s quite strange, but perhaps you’ll get a better deal on data plans if you do go for the contract options. I can’t confirm that at this particular moment, but if you’re still interested, head on over to Verizon’s site to check the Tab out today.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  2. I got a galaxy tab actually typing on it now i love it nice lil device.!! Price is expensive!

  3. I think they don’t want to sell a bunch of 3G devices right before the launch of their LTE network. I can’t blame them really.

  4. i use my droid x “rooted” for the internet!!!

  5. Apple forced Verizon into selling the tab at full price. Apple did not want to compete with the tab and threatened to pull the ipad from Verizon if they should the tab at a lower price. Verizon should of said F u apple and kept it moving.

  6. anyone know the code to bypass the activation screen?

  7. hmm, with the a Super AMOLED version, a 10.1-inch flavor, and a tablet-tuned Android, just hit Verizon retail for $599.99, really stunned, but Im not really caring about a comparison to the ipad, there must be lots of folks think so? Well, ipad more likely a consumer electronic, a great portable movies, videoes and game device, at least now Im sucked in movies watching on it in the help of iFunia iPad Video Converter, and now Game center, be a great game playing platform, of course the E-mail and surfing internet or do some office work on it are also handy and convenient.~~~Well, but the Galaxy Tab got its features and superiority and must be on fire too, time will prove that… In a word, both are winsome, the ipad has time superiority, and is $499 for the wifi only version makes some more appealing.

  8. Bought my Verizon Galaxy tab this afternoon. It won’t activate and says “activation unsuccessful. You may need to fina a location with better reception.” I have perfect reception w 4 bars. I talked to 3 customer service reps who were clueless about the Galaxy and provided no help. They recommended I return it and get an Ipad. Lol. What a POS device and Verizon just makes it worse.

  9. The T-Mobile Galaxy Tab has the 16gb we were promised. The Verizon and Sprint versions have only 2gb, plus a 16gb sdhc card.
