If the HTC Sense portal for Canada is to be trusted, the Desire HD could be hitting the Great White North in the near future, and why not? The HTC Desire Z is already on shelves at Bell; it makes sense that the phone it was announced alongside will land on at least one of the Canadian networks. Rumor is that the carrier to land the Desire HD could be TELUS, which Mobile Syrup is reporting will launch the handset in early 2011.

Heh. Took Telus a year to update its Hero from Android 1.5. Buyer beware.

Hopefully it comes with Gingerbread out of the box!

The Desire HD may infact be coming to Canada in the future but the specific article doesn’t provide any evidence. If you look at the sense dot com site, it displays both the Desire Z and Desire HD for every country.

That means it will work on the 850/1900 3G bands… USA 3G on the Desire HD folks!

Gabbo is right. Don’t get your hopes up for anything yet.
I can’t wait for this phone either. Until it goes through the FCC testing or the Canadian version, or HTC themselves announce it, I won’t hold my breath.
