After all of the successes developer Rovio’s been enjoying after their launch of Angry Birds in the Android market, other developers are looking to emulate that. The folks behind Cut the Rope – Zeptolab – have committed to creating an Android version says Dutch site AndroidPlanet, but they still have yet to give an exact date.

“We plan to develop an Android version too, but it’s still hard to give a release date,”

And that’s all there is to say, but you should know that – since its release a couple of weeks ago – it has become one of the most popular iOS games. It reached 1-million downloads in a day – a goal many would like to achieve on new launches – and also turns out to look pretty fun. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to play it yet considering I don’t own an iOS device, but check out this video of the gameplay to get an idea of what it’s like.
