Cellular South’s Galaxy S to be Named Samsung Showcase

11

Even though Cellular South officially announced this device as the Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung’s website says something completely different up against the other five carriers offering the phone: it’ll be called the Samsung Showcase. We still haven’t been able to uncover more details than that, but we’re one step closer to one of the most exciting device launches coming out of Cellular South. If the HTC Desire just isn’t cutting it, then the Samsung Showcase most definitely will.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  10. I’m a CS customer, currently using a 2.1 hero. The rates and coverage are great……….BUT my biggest complaint to date about CS and the way they do android, is the way they push out updates to us, the customers. So far 2 updates have been available for my hero, and each has required a total wipe of the phone, and required us to download the update software from their website, hook up to htc sync, and blah, blah, blah……….Some OTA love would be nice from CS is all I’m sayin
