Are ZTE and Verizon Planning a High-End (1.3 GHz) Android?

9

If this doesn’t turn out to be the most unusual partnership, then I don’t know what can be considered above it. According to sources of BGR’s, Verizon’s going to be teaming up with ZTE to bring out a high-end Android handset that actually doesn’t sound too bad. In fact, it sounds “damned good” more than it sounds “not too bad.”

The only spec they could mum out was “1.3GHz CPU,” but if this turns out to be true, I’m sure the rest of the specs won’t fail to impress. I guess we’ll find out before too long if ZTE is ready to step out of the shadows of being known as a rebranding factory.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Did Steve Jobs take over Verizon? Is their next step VerOS to run on the Verphone?

  2. 1.3 ghz sounds good but i think it’s much too early to get excited over this. Verizon already has some of the best phones in terms of hardware. I wish they would get some high end phones that have a little more style.

  3. Battery Life…..Battery Life I say.

  4. I agree. By all accounts the 800Mhz G2 flies, and probably will hold it’s own among the best Androids for battery life.

  5. 1.3 GHz sounds good to me, as long as I can underclock it to save some batter life :) I usually have my d1 running between 850 – 1250 MHz which usually gives about 10 hours of battery life, if I run it at 1.25 GHz constantly I get maybe 4 or 5 lol

  6. Who the french toast is ZTE?

  7. @Alex

ZTE is a company of a bunch of nerdiest Chinese people so you better know them…..they will create the ultimate android phone(by combining or copying all the godly specs around)

  8. the only zte we sell at verizon right now is a piece of shit slider feature phone, so that seems weird
