HuddleHub Says “Don’t Wait for ESPN”, Offers Full Management Over Popular Fantasy Football Platforms

When it was discovered that Yahoo released their Fantasy Football app into the market yesterday, fans of one of their direct Fantasy competitors – ESPN – were left wondering why ESPN had yet to drive into town with an app for their own service. While we still don’t have any word on their efforts, HuddleHub is looking to fill that gap with an app that’ll give you full management over your fantasy football teams from both ESPN and Yahoo.

They’ve only given a date of September 2010 – and the iPhone version was released just a couple of days ago – so we hope that’ll be sooner rather than later (NFL kickoff begins September 9th, FYI). You can sign up to be notified of the release at their site. So when is NFL.com going to get on the ball with their own fantasy offering?

“They are working their way through the QA process. If they are not ready, we are not going to release them until they are. All intentions are to have them released ASAP. I don’t have a date, or a timeframe for this to happen.”

  5. HuddleHub tweeted a reply to me, I’m a no-buddy, that said they hoped for the end of this week-beginning of next… biting my nails over hear… would like before season starts. From what I see, and comparing to Yahoo’s, I’ll take anytime and give it a shot.

  6. Ah, fantasy Handegg, the sport of those too lazy to play a sport and too wimpy for rugby.

  7. Will it go on the UK market? Seriously people, there’s a big market for gridiron here.

  8. I sent a tip two days ago about contacting ESPN and having a fantasy app…
“ESPN will release fantasy football applications for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry this year. At this time, we do not have an exact release date. Please check back in late August or early September.”
