Google Earth 1.1 Update Brings Support for Ocean Fans

19

Fan of water and the vast oceans of the stuff? Google Earth’s just gotten a bump up to version 1.1 which adds support for exploring the depths of the blue sea. You’ll be allowed to zoom in on a body of water which will give you a peak at the terrain which lies beneath. You’ll also be able to look at pictures and – even more cool – videos thanks to the inclusion of Flash within the app (you can view videos related to a specific mark right within its bubble. Android 2.2 only.)

Google Earth is available for Android 2.1 and higher.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  5. Nice!! Me like. Evo

  6. I think you need at least 2.1 in order to see it in the market, sorry :-(

  7. Until there is SD ssupport am not gonna install it,simple.

  8. yeah, running 2.1 on the hero with sprint. it’s not showing up at all.

  9. Oh, SD support is finally there alright – unfortunately, it only save you about 5MB out of 20MB (20MB -> 14.9MB in the phone.)

  10. Guys it does have SD support. I’m looking forward to more apps embracing Froyo. It works great too.

  11. you dont realy need any app to support sd
    you only need CM 6
anything can be installed on sd

  12. 15MB still on the phone after apps2sd. umm no.

  13. ahh, i was hoping to find Billy Ocean. ;)

  14. Nope, not in the Droid Eris market.

  15. Brilliant app, BUT why is it only saving 5mb to sd ? FROYO is awesome, but you would expect that google would be able to enable more than just a 1/4 of the app to the memory card, and why arn’t more of googles own apps embracing the apps2sd that froyo brings ?

  16. How do you move an app to your SD card , do you need an app for that ?

  17. The app2SD support on this is a joke. I had to uninstall it because it still uses 15MB of internal memory after you supposedly move it to SD. I just don’t have that much internal space to spare.

  18. I have MyTouch 3G Slide from TMobile running on Android 2.1 and cant find Google Earth on Market…..!
