How many Iphone users actually have a Corvette or Viper(couldn’t tell which one)? And wouldn’t it be unsafe to drive one in winter with the ice and all?

If I didn’t already have a factory remote start system, I’d be sold on this, but this just doesn’t really offer that much value over what I currently have, to be worth the $500 plus annual service fee. My vehicle is always parked close enough to where I work (a block away) that I can lean out the door and trigger the factory remote start in the winter. That’s good enough for me.

This is pretty awesome. Too bad I don’t have a car with SmartStart in it. I drive an old 1997 Honda Civic DX. There is nothing hi-tech about that…LOL.

if by borrow you mean start/kill the engine, lock/unlock the doors, and open the trunk then yes. you still need a key to put the car in gear.

So all you need to “borrow” your parents car is their smartstart details and a smartphone. :-). This could make for a lot of fun with smartstart cars. When is the app comeing that lets me drive the car remotely :-)
