I see new apps for Places & Latitude in my app drawer, but I don't see how Maps is any different. When I start Maps, I don't see any link or anything to get me into Places. I have to start Places manually. Also, when I used Navigation, my endpoint showed a black & white checkerboard pattern on most of the screen rather than a picture of my destination. If not, try to reboot your phone. I got the notification (also running a MTG3).
