I flashed it 3 days ago, and it's stable enough not to go back to CM5.0.8
I've got so issues with market application, other than that... all is good..

@ david: you can get the rom on his site, or the xda forums, or from the "rom manager" app on the market. if you have root the rom manager is the easiest way to update these days.

Last year before 1.5 I rooter Jesusfreke and I had to downgrade to the oldest version and then no updates to 1.6 so I went back to stock. How much faster is 2.2 on the G1. Also, where do I get the cyanogen 2.2? Thanks

I got tired of waiting for T-Mobile to update my original myTouch so I've gone ahead and rooted about 2 months ago. It's easier than you think and I'm not the techy geeky type that understands all the lingo I see on Cyanogen and XDA forums. So far CM6 is kinda iffy on my phone. Twitter sync seems to be broken. FB sync is working but not bringing in photos unless I click on each contact one at a time. And lots of FC. These are minor annoyances and will probably be fixed in the final stable build. CM5 is reliable enough for everyday use.

@lancaster09
They've been promising an upgrade for quite some time now, with nothing to show for it. Personally I understand their predicament: They can't just throw out upgrades without testing them inside and out, or they'll get complaints and support calls to no end, and all of that costs time and money. If you want the bleeding edge features, rooted Android is the way to go.

No, he did nothing wrong, there actually is a bug that's causing an ARM9 Crash. They are working on it right now
