The recently leaked Sony Ericsson phone known as the Shakira looks like it will be called the Xperia X8, a fitting name for the phone that sits between the X10 and X10 mini in terms of size. Along with the new name reveal the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog has a slew of new pictures of the device that looks like a chip off the block in terms of the Xperia line. No other news has been gleaned for now, but hopefully the new unit won’t be a simple resized rehash of the X10 and might include some improvements such as multi-touch and an updated Android OS.
