PDAnet has been around for awhile on the Android. Why the big deal about "Tether" when PDAnet is working so well on USB and on Bluetooth. My Hero doesn't get hot while tethering with PDAnet.

No mention of tethering by PdaNet? They started it years ago on the Treo. I set it up on my Sprint hero, and got it working easily (much easier than it was on the treo).

> Is the tether app for USB tether only, or does it include bluetooth and wifi tether as well?

Bluetooth tethering should be possible by just installing an app. USB tethering is available to apps once you enable debug mode on your phone. Wifi tethering is only possible on rooted devices at the moment because it requires some kernel options that are not enabled on standard Android builds.

> Also does anyone know which method of tether is fastest besides USB?

If the only limiting factor is the bandwidth of the interface, the order from fastest to slowest should be:
1. USB 2.0: 480Mb/s
2. 802.11g: 54Mb/s
3. Bluetooth 2.x: 3 Mbit/s

However, in thee likely case that all of those are faster than your upstream bandwidth, you probably won't see any difference.

Thats cool.
I like that there is a good tether app for the less tech people, its also good that Cyanogen is still expanding his work to more devices.
