Red HTC Legend Exclusively On SFR In France
| by Rob Jackson on March 15th, 2010 |
Untouched the HTC Legend is already considered one of the most beautiful mobile creations to date, but French carrier SFR wanted a little something special for their own legendary offering. Starting today online, and March 30th in retail stores, SFR customers will be able to purchase a version of the HTC Legend with Red accents:

I couldn’t find a direct link from SFR confirming the details, but it seems a few French sites have confirmed the redness… if not the dates. The guys from Android-France.fr sent this in – thanks guys! What do you prefer – classic or red?
Just got these snapshots from a PDF Press Release:

red actually looks pretty good, it looks “limited edition” like… if i had a red one i’d want it to be kinda rare, does look cool though

I just can’t get over the large unused space below the screen. What is the point of that ? Isn’t this supposed to be a “deluxe” phone ?

Attractive. Screen is kind of small at 3.2″

@Andrude
It’s about proportions for screen resolution.. if they had went with a different size screen, it would be a wider phone.. They could have made a longer screen, I am sure developers would love to deal with an oddball, as they already complain about too many different screen sizes as it is. Since this is an update of an existing product, that sold well, they tried and keep it to familiar looks and size.. The black framing makes the screen appear larger than it is, but it is not unattractive or distracting.. There are other phones out there, and coming, that will have larger screens.. but people who have actually used this phone, seem to rave over the quality of it.. I’d take a gander at it if it was available in the US.. but most likely, just like the original Hero, we will be left out.

android OS automatically adjusts for different screen sizes… no one has to program differently for a certain screen

@Andrude – the antenna? (ie the plastic part at the bottom)

@covert yes Android does fit apps to different screen sizes, but if an app is graphic intensize, the developer has to create multiple variations so that it will display properly. the only apps that will work perfectly with all screen sizes are basic one with the standard app UI that Google makes available.

Red is hot. I love it. Even though this phone seems a little cut down, i’m trading in my milestone(aus) on one. If only I knew a little french

So let me get this straight…it’s a slightly trimmed down version of what’s coming out next month BUT it’s a fifth of the price?!? So what if you have to purchase a contract…are you still not coming out way ahead in value?
