Motorola i1 Getting Opera Browser By Default, 5MP Camera

by Rob Jackson on March 11th, 2010

motorola-i1-itw-3We recently learned the Motorola Opus One would be named the Motorola i1 and head to Sprint Nextel and Boost Mobile as the first Push-To-Talk Android Phone. There are a couple new details about the i1 that you should know about.

First of all, since December 2009 the device was rumored to have a 3MP camera. That’s wrong says Engadget’s tipster – it’ll be a 5MP. Rejoice. Secondly, it’ll come pre-loaded with Opera Mini as the default browser – both timely and welcome news considering what else has happened in the Android world today.

So… PTT iDEN fans… who of hands who is happy about the i1!

Hey that looks cool

i1!

I wait for up to 1 minute for a text message to DOWNLOAD on Nextel. You have to be kidding me about this thing on that network.

@springs – EXACTLY! I was excited about this phone, but not anymore unless it uses CDMA 3G. iDEN?? No way.

Not another “i” phone. Can we trying naming something that doesn’t have a lowercase “i” in the front of it.

Motorola has been none to have issues with battery life on there phones, that’s why I don’t use a motorola phone with boostmobile, I had the i9 and a bunch of other motorola products on boost and battery life sucked! I’ll wait at least a month after this product is out to get the user reviews on its performance! It shouldve been on the cdma side though!
