Take Shop Savvy, rename it, highlight CNET Reviews when applicable and what do you have? CNET Scan & Shop. Just in time for the holidays CBS Interactive has published this application to help you compare all types of different gadgets so you can find the best value while on the go.

Here is the description from Android Market:

Scan product barcodes or enter a product name to instantly access the latest CNET Editor and User Reviews and compare prices between online and local retailers while out shopping!

Create wishlists of your favorite products, set price alert notifications, and share your scans via Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail.

shopzillaBy the looks of it, CBS has licensed the Shop Savvy application from Big In Japan and rebranded it for CNET with a few minor tweaks. I could be wrong… but this application looks almost identical to Shop Savvy. If you trust CNET over all the other sources on the web than perhaps this is a good download but otherwise it doesn’t have anything that Shop Savvy can’t already do itself.
