AT&T's network mostly crashed when the iphones were released because of the OTA activation required and most of that was restransmits by the apple servers. The network holds up just fine and passes plenty of traffic from all sorts of devices except in large venues (stadiums, music fests, etc) where EVERY carrier craters. In my personal experience and professional opinion it will perform just fine, just like every other carrier. The only choice anyone has to make is who has better 3G coverage in their own area, which for most of Texas (for me) means AT&T. Tmo here sucks outside of downtown areas, verizon is passable and sprint is passable, but AT&T is the only carrier here that has network everywhere I personally plan to go. At least just do your own research, or trust research that was fully done instead of listening to commercials which are all full of BS, no matter who it is. "We're still evaluating the second half," said Roger Yuen, vice president of Acer's smart handheld business in Asia. Acer will ship five or six Android-based handsets in the first half of 2010, he said. Acer plans to unveil Android mobile phones for three price levels, top-end, mid and low-end, as well as models aimed at business users and consumers, he said. The executive declined to say when Acer's second Android mobile phone will be available. Liquid, a 3.5-inch touchscreen smartphone with a Qualcomm 8250 Snapdragon chipset inside, was announced earlier this year.
