Humn…
“Over the next few weeks, Google Phones (most probably in early, prototype form) will flood the Mountain View campus. They’ll don large LCDs while running a new version of Android”

Humn…
Nice list there HTC… Wonder if half or more are on there way to Mountain View…

At least that list tells us the HTC Passion’s & HTC Dragon are two different animals… And since there is only one Dragon.. Wonder if that = Open phone… or GPhone..

Okay, we know the “C” on HeroC means CDMA (i.e. the Sprint Hero), and of course there’s the DesireC (Droid Eris on Verizon). But what the heck is the HeroCT? Also, notice that there’s Passion and PassionC in addition to Dragon. Could those actually be different models? Hmm, the plot thickens.

I wonder how many actual devices there are. The dragon and two passions are rumored to be the same device (or variation of), maybe these are all the names that the different carriers will be using.

DesireC, NeonC (not listed here), and HeroCT were all listed in the HTC Hero kernel source code released in October on HTC’s website. Neon is supposedly the Touch Dual, which is pretty surprising (Touch Dual is originally a winmo device), so to see mention of MACH_NEONC in HTC’s kernel source code (even before the MACH_HEROC source code is out) is kind of a curveball.
Also listed in the kernel source code (Makefile and/or Kconfig): Milan, Jade (those two are not listed here…), as well as: Memphis, Bahamas, Espresso

Just played with the Espresso tonight. It’s a wider body Mytouch with a 4 row keyboard, running 2.1, going to be skinned with a Tmobile theme, gesture support. Believe me or don’t believe me, I dont care, I know the truth. Also, in other news, Google phone is real, GSM, multi-band (think Dragon, you are getting warmer!)

Also, Espresso sports optical trackpad, 5 megapixel with flash. Commence drooling, Phandroids!

re: Espresso… The keyboard is impressive, if you like the G1’s spaced keys. Plenty of room between the raised keys, not like the Droid or the Clic. Good for your fat fingers.

All I know about the Dragon/Google phone is Google will sell it, it will be an unlocked phone to run on multiple carriers. I think GSM only, if I heard right.
