Today’s News: Happy Thanksgiving!

11

thanksgivingHappy Thanksgiving to all Phandroid readers and AF members! I’m about to make a 3 hour trek to New Jersey, spend some time with my family, and come back late tonight. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because there are no strings attached – its all about enjoying the company of the people who matter most.

I’m taking the day off today and this will be the ONLY post you see on Phandroid until I return. I invite you to leave links to news stories, articles, rumors and other information throughout the day in the comments below. I will periodically check/approve comments. This will let you guys keep each other in the loop if you’re starving for Android goodness.

Otherwise you can always hit up AndroidForums.com where 30,000+ other people gather for everything Android related. And don’t forget in IRC Freenode a bunch of us hang out in #androidforums. But whatever… keep the day in perspective. Turn off the TV (the Lions stink anyways). Leave your phone in your pocket. Shut down your computer. And stop refreshing Phandroid every 10 seconds… you can do that every other day of the year ;)

Enjoy the day with your friends and family today and keep in mind all the great reasons you’re truly thankful. Android is amazing and all… but today I’m most thankful for my family, friends and my amazing girlfriend! So for once in my life/year, I’m dedicating the day to them. Don’t be jealous… I promise… I’ll see you soon!

PS: Am I the only one who loves Thanksgiving dinner most because I dip every single food into my mashed potatoes and gravy thereby making it awesomely deliciouser?

I'm a sports lover who cheers for the Orange (College), Ravens (NFL), (Orioles), and Yankees (long story). I live in Baltimore and wear it on my sleeve, with an Under Armour logo. I also love traveling... where do you want to go?

Also, I’d be being kinda a jackass if I didn’t let my sister play around with my Droid…we’ve already found too many awesome songs with Shazam! to stop now.

This is unacceptable .. as an ambassador of android we expect you to work 24/7 through every major holiday. what are we paying you for? oh, that’s right, we don’t pay you. but then we do, through banner advertising. ok i’m going to go now.

  5. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because there are no strings attached – its all about enjoying the company of the people who matter most.

  10. Yes, this is great and all, but the future of software development is not using the flash on a mobile phone as a torch…

  11. 3 hour trek, huh? How long did it REALLY take? :) My 4 hour one from Northern VA took 7.5h up and 7.5h down.
