To whoever keeps saying this is a tmo phone … it’s probably both tmo US and at&t/rogers. They list two different specs and cover both gsm frequencies for 3g. Still, I wouldn’t use it if i were precluded from ever using 2.0, so either they need an upgrade or someone like cyanogen needs to get to work.

On the us specs web page in one of the drop down list it says you can use a finger tip or stylus!!!!!!! The phone must be resistive or a hybrid like the geekphone 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No flash on an 8MP camera phone and Android 1.6 definitely sucks.

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned that extremely weak storage on this device. 1GB internal + 8GB microSD is pathetic nowadays. Especially since the rumored specs had as much as 32GB internal + MicroSD.

Music Collection + Video Collection + Photo Collection + 8MP photos + VGA Videos… 9 gigs isn’t going to cut it for me. 16GB isn’t going to cut it either. (32GB microSD cards do not exist).

When this phone comes out (likely in March knowing SE), no one is going to give a shit. Especially with Iphone 4 likely 3 months later.

That’s a good point… Sony does not have a good track record for timing their announcements well. And they also have a habit of building up crazy hype (..cough PS2… cough) and not delivering the goods to match. While I’m at it.. they also tend to release over-engineered hardware which is stupid expensive (..cough PS3.. cough..) If this device was coming out right now and for $500… it would be ground breaking and huge. But in half a year for $1,500? That will be less impressive. But just looking at the device in that video… it looks like a cool-ass gadget that I want to have.

Check out videos with in them! SE tried to invent hot water with this “UX” and in their tradition made garbage that have delayed phone launch!

They haven’t really learned anything with custom Symbian UI and the fact that they end up with S60 rev. 5 (in the worst possible moment)

Also notice that SE isn’t even hinting that they’ll launch with Eclair! hell their spec is official and final, so all hopes of Eclair are dreams!

Again they had appropriate hardware for Eclair (it’s in Satio), but they’ve decided to with Snapdragon+custom UI route! Good luck, and don’t cry when Sholes Tablet with 8MO, Xenon flash and Android 2.0 kills Rachel on arrival!

not once in their press release do they mention that it is running on android os… it is as if they are ashamed of it. Also they are trying real hard to push their own proprietary services down customers throats. Don’t expect it to come with android 2.0 or atleast with Google’s free navigation when they are busy raping customers with their wisepilot.

An epic FAIL and marketing disaster in making… learn something from HTC & moto… don’t announce something if you can’t deliver in a month. By next year’s release all these ‘WOW’s will become ‘Whatever!’

1 – Final version problaby with Eclair 2.0
2 – Multi-Touch comes with the Eclair, with at maximum 3 Simultany touches at time.
3 – Compass is not a standart … this is crapy not a negative point or something you need … (newb)
4 – The touchscreen is capacitive, with multi-touch if the final version comes with Eclair 2.0.
5 – With Eclair comes OpenGl 2.0.

Don’t say a lot of crapz please :)
