The rumored launch date is sometime in early 2010 and with a 4-inch screen, 16GB of internal memory and Android 2.0, the Sony Ericsson X10 is definitely high on the Android watch list.

  1. droid should be renamed borg. I really want to wait for this, but I don’t think I’m gonna make it. I’m so sick of my iphone with a home button that requires 10 lbs of force.

  2. Where will this end? A “netbook” sized screeen with a “Ghostbusters” atomic battery backpack!? …..getting…..info…….overload…..damnit Vinkman!

  3. This is old news isnt it?

  4. Meh… I don’t care much of the X10 anymore after hearing the Droid. Even though it runs 550 MHz, it has separte processors and should nearly match SnapDragon. And besides, no keyboard, no want.

  5. But what carrier?

If it’s on okay carriers, I can wait. And if it’s on craptacular carriers, I’ll buy something different.

I think the manufacturers keep the carrier top secret because they know how all of the carriers are hated.

  6. WTF??? 4″ screen??? that’s like a Nokia N800 to me, too big to take a phone call with.

  7. i still can’t decide between this or Motorola Droid but im definitely going to see my g1 pretty soon

  8. This thing is the phone of my dreams. I would contemplate moving overseas just to get a piece of this delicious action.

I’m not a fan of physical keyboards, to me they just take time sliding out and add bulk to the phone that doesn’t need to be there.

The big screen is just big enough for me, 4″ of goodness that’s what this phone is, and the processor is just happiness inducing speed that Android deserves.

The only thing that worries me is the battery life… this thing seems powerful, I hope it has be battery life to support it.

  9. a 4in screen is huge but def not too big to make a call on, the g1 screen is 3.2in but the whole device as a whole has got to be somewhere near 4.7 in long

  10. this is prolly not coming to the US

    i hope it does tho

Watch this video, this might be the proof of the X10 being real.

I have read previous comments concerning the snapdragon lacking a dedicated graphics processor on the soc, and having to load he graphics with the cpu, possibly being slower than a lower clocked omap 3.
    Can you confirm this ?
How do you know about the snapdragon not having a gpu on the soc ?

  13. I would suggest you to go for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 because it is wide 4-inch capacitive touch display, 8.1 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a thoroughly tricked out Android skin. Moreover the finish is excellent, rubberized back slightly arched which helps in keeping a steady hand, the burnished metal strapping way that emphasizes and sharpens the edge through the display itself and also absolutely rigid.
