I have no doubt that soon Android will land on Netbooks and Notebooks too. But with this come the challenges of how to reduce the pain of developers to cater for different device screen sizes and capabilities. So far we have had only first generation Android phones and next generation phones would start offering 800x480 screens. When the dust settles, there would probably be three classes of devices: 480x320, 800x489 and 1280x720. Developers would need UI guidelines for designing their Apps. I hope Google envisions this trend and start working on these guidelines soon. Amongst other things, some openGL based vector compositing UI would be badly needed...
