Just give me a small "computer" that I can buy for the hardware, let me install whatever I want, and get a wireless broadband Internet plan like in every other country. That's what "phones" should be. Screw all the nickel and diming of "cell phone" companies. This is by far the most exciting news regarding Android in a while. An unlocked sub $200 Android phone will be a game changer as the cheap PCs overshadowed any other competition in the 1990s. And don't think a $100 Android phone will be crap. It'll be exactly like any other Android phone for sure. In fact, most smartphones cost less than $150 to manufacture but are sold at prices over $400 unlocked. The only reason being because there isn't any real competition. Now Android brings dozens new manufacturers to compete with Apple and with each other. This will bring down the prices very quickly.
