MyTouch 3G Available August 5th?

T-Mobile customers will be able to pre-order the MyTouch 3G between July 8th and July 28th… but when will it actually be available? Some undercover sherlocking from AndroidAndMe suggests August 5th could very likely be official launch day:
Apparently some connect-the-dots behind the countdown timer’s java script reveals a parameter called “launchTime”:
var launchTime = new Date(2009, 7, 5, 12, 0);
And since January is month zero… 7/5 is actually August 5th – the same day identified as the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G launch in the initial leaked roadmap! You can write August 5th in your calendar… but do it in pencil!

The August 5th date for new customers was known a couple weeks ago. I can’t remember where I saw it, but I also remember reading that preorder customers would get their units (shipped?) on July 29th.
