android-netbookWe’ve all heard the rumors and fanfiction regarding Android on netbooks, and part two of the issue is always “just how usable would it be?”. It seems that Google is just as curious as us and wants to find out. Hiding amongst ads for old chairs and casual encounters, Google has posted an ad on Craigslist looking for test dummies. The study started yesterday, and will proceed until Saturday the 16th.

CEO Eric Schmidt would not confirm any rumors that the PC companies, themselves, are testing usability of the operating system on their machines. But was quoted as saying “the Netbook phenomenon looks very real” prompting the study of Android on laptops, in order to ensure the various services offered would be viable in a broader market.

So if you’re living in the Bay Area, and looking to make a few extra bucks from playing around on a netbook for an hour, head on over to Craigslist. While you’re there you may as well check out the latest addition to the website in the M4G section.
