Actually, it is interesting to follow groups (like Android and Wizards) and celebs (like Armstrong)... but I find it otherwise useless...

Phil and Jaime can stfu cuz they don't know what they are talking about.

I am a twitter addict. If google buys twitter, it can possibly solve the tech issues we have been dealing with lately because of how fast it is growing. Its definitely something to look forward to.

What I find interesting here is the 8% mobile web traffic number. While I think 8% is believable, I don't see how that would put Android in 2nd place behind the iPhone. According to this recent article:
http://www.fastcompany.com/blog/kit-eaton/technomix/iphone-success-shows-what-people-want-mobile-net

8% would put them behind RIM and Windows Mobile devices in addition to the iPhone.

I'm with Jamie...

I don't really see how Twitter could help Android. I mean if Google wanted to open up Twitter like comm channel to Android devices they could without buying Twitter. They could simply add some sort or channel system to Google Talk. I think the looser in all of this well be the telco's. When the Android device boom happens there will be all sorts of free text based communication going on and SMS will be a thing of the past. I already wish more of my friends were up on smartphones.
