@Andrew R - thanks for the comment. I think somebody will release a wowzer of an Android for the holiday season... 8MP camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3G/WiFi of course, 32GB external memory, etc... October/November 2009. That's just a guess though.

Guys

Thanks for the dedication. Obviuosly the comment was a tad harsh and they keep getting better.

One thing puzzles me though. Why o why did'nt they bring out out the G1/Magic and Pre with video and a better cameras. I am yearning for that total convergent divice with great media, camera/video, browser, performance, push email for outlook and contact syncing. All wrapped up in a divice I want to keep playing with.

When, in your opinions, will that arrive and via whom or do you feel it already has. I haven't seen one come out yet as they all have a difficiency somewhere.

Looking forward to the next podcast.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. We definitely take everything you say into consideration, you know, because we're democratic and all of that Jazz.
But honestly, if you have a suggestion, we're almost 100% sure to see it and consider it. So keep them rolling in.

Indeed, the podcast was right one time! :-P

Great episode. The "y'knows" and "ummms" were definitely almost nonexistant, but it didn't really bother me to begin with.

Rob's weekly plea for MOAR ANDROID PHONES (picture Homer slobbing over donuts) is always refreshing.

Overall, great show. My most listened to podcast to date. Next week could you guys discuss what you think about the reluctance of App developers of other platforms to bring their offerings to android?

It really sucks that apps like Fring are absent, and Skype gets a really slim offering. Do you think these guys are just holding out for better market share? Or do they just not care about Android?

Best show yet guys, great job! The production quality really improved this week. Seemed much more organized and professional and everyone seemed more comfortable talking on all the topics. I really enjoyed it.

I was glad to hear some discussion on apps this week; wouldn't mind more of that in the future. It's gotten to the point now where I pretty much have an "app of the day" demonstration for several of my co-workers. They've started to realize that it's all about the apps. Of course while iphone has the advantage at the moment in terms of sheer numbers of apps, the open platform on Android just lets you do so much more, from background apps to home screen replacements. Anyway, every day more and more apps come out (it gets hard to keep up sometimes), so it would be really helpful to hear you guys talk about what's worth trying.

At one point during the show you mentioned the HTC Hero and said you would talk about it more but I don't think that happened (or maybe I missed it somehow?). Anyway just thought I'd mention that. I've heard almost nothing about the Hero so I'm curious and wouldn't mind seeing a post about it.

I'd also like to comment on the media experience on Android. Spencer said he feels it's lacking, at least compared to the Pre and perhaps an ipod. That very well could be true, as I have never owned an ipod and obviously don't have a Pre to compare to, but I absolutely LOVE the media experience on my G1. I use ACast to download and listen to all your podcasts, and IMO TuneWiki as a media player can't be beat. I also regularly re-encode movies and TV shows using Handbreak or Badaboom on my desktop and dump those on my phone to watch during my lunchbreak. It looks so surprisingly good on the small screen that I often forget I'm watching it on my phone. I'm not really sure what else you could ask for... the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack might turn some people off, but I haven't minded using the adapter one bit and soon it should be a moot point anyway as I will have stereo bluetooth (c'mon cupcake!).

Keep up the great work guys. Can't wait for the next episode!

Hello,
I love the podcast. I use Google Reader to view my different feeds. I have noticed that with episodes 3 and 4 the direct audio link is no longer showing up. FWIW the first 2 episodes worked fine with Reader.. Again, no big deal and I liked the podcast enough to come visit the site. :-)
