My Account is a nice little app, but can't be run on WiFi -- must use 3G.

Personally, since I am on WiFi much of the time, I will continue to use the free app, SelfHelp, which provides the same T-Mobile account info, and will work on either WiFi or 3G/2G.

Excuse me from looking like a jerk, I still am glad to have this application and I really appreciate T-Mobile for making it but I gotta say why did it take so long? Shouldn't of this been a application when the phone came out? I was suspecting T-Mobile to have their fair share of applications amongst the public but I guess I was wrong. But, I shouldn't cry about it, I mean it is here now and I respect T-Mobile for what is does and has done. has done.

Considering the original post and the image you're using came from AndroidAndMe.com, it would be nice to give them some credit. At the very least it should be [Via Gizmodo Via AndroidAndMe]

Just responding to the comment that T-Mobile would benefit from not having this app available for users, and at the same time I'll offer you all a trick for those that routinely go over their minutes:

T-Mobile doesn't mind if you call them before your billing cycle is over and change your plan. Say you go over your minutes on the 300 plan; you can call them and upgrade to the 600 minute plan and they won't charge you all those overages. This is a great tool for people that go over a lot, and yes I do it all the time.

So yeah, they definitely would benefit from people not using this app, but at the same time they already have safeguards built in for people that go over their minutes, if you're in the know.
