$100 Android Haiku Contest To Celebrate Phandroid Store!
| by Rob Jackson on March 10th, 2009 |
If you’ve poked around the site lately you’ve probably noticed that the “Accessories” link in the Blue Nav Bar now takes you to the Phandroid Accessories Store! To celebrate the launch we’re giving away $100 in merchandise from the store in the Android Haiku Contest!

Here is the deal:
- 1st place gets anything under $50 from the store and 2nd and 3rd each get a $25 or less item
- You can enter by replying to this blog post OR by replying to the Android Haiku Contest Thread on AndroidForums.
- There is no limit to how many entries you may submit.
- Make sure your information is correct so we can contact you if you win!
- Refresher: A Haiku is a 3-line poem where the lines feature 5 syllables, 7 syllables and then 5 syllables respectively. It does not have to rhyme.
- Your Haiku should be about Android, your G1, Dream, Magic, etc… you know the deal. Phandroid and AndroidForums staff will review the poems and select winners based on creativity, humor, uniqueness, whether or not it makes sense, etc… yada yada. We’ll basically just be picking the ones we like most!
- Contest Ends on Thursday, March 12th at 11:59 EST and the winner will be announced at some point on Friday, March 13th. Hopefully that will make your Friday the 13th so creepy but rather delightful. For 3 of you at least.
Don’t forget you can also enter on AndroidForums.com! Hint: you CAN WIN TWICE but the only way to do that is have a winning entry on Phandroid and a winning entry on AndroidForums – you can’t have 2 winning entries on the same site. And speaking of AndroidForums…
We recently redesigned AndroidForums and while we’re still working on the nitty gritty details, welcome to Android Forums – Presented by Phandroid:

We’ll continue to improve and change the site to reflect what YOU want so make sure to let us know what you think so we can incorporate everyone’s ideas and opinions to make the Phandroid Family the best it can be!
Alright… now lets hear those Haikus!
