I think its pointless developing a skype app if you cant make free skype-to-skype calls via wifi. It defeats the whole purpose if you are still charged mobile fone credit.

Not impressed at all!

I managed to find skype lite on the net and its not that great. I used to use fring with skype over wifi. You only use your skype credit and not your phone connection and mobile data. This has been taken away for fing users. As there is no skype app for android, android users are left without skype. Don't skype want people to use their service, it doesn't take months to write a skype app for android. 1 developer could do it in a week...

Unfortunately Skype lite is no longer available which sucks, it's the only bad thing I have to say about Android. It's strange how three and Verizon android customers get Skype but everyone else doesn't.

I don't get it. So you can make international calls. But skype to skype isn't free AND you use your minutes. What's the point exactly?

Hello,
Very nice article on Skype Lite. Even the beta version is nice to used with a very nice user interface and easy navigation. I suggest people to give a try. If you want more information on Skype Lite, check out this post:
