Google has updated their search results for Android and the iPhone to make mobile web searches a little bit easier for everyone. A minor yet very welcome update displays “results that load faster and are formatted to fit the screen so you don’t have to zoom or scroll side-to-side. We’ve also added touchscreen-friendly buttons and expandable maps for local business results.”

When you’re dealing with limited screen space, it’s those little things that count. Sure, full HTML web browsers on mobile devices are nice, but optimizations like this make all the difference in the world.

The update happened yesterday so tell us – have you noticed the difference? Do you like it?

I didn’t even notice that until you said it.

It’s a pretty cool feature, but pretty useless for me.

Did they update Reader too? I think they might have.
