Quite honestly, in-app advertising and anything else won’t generate money. When you really examine what generates revenue, it comes down to two models. You can either build a high quality product that appeals to a large target demographic (then monetize it however you want, either ads or selling it directly for a fixed price, or ..), or you can build a ton of really crappy apps and spam the shit out of the market with them.

Advertising alone won’t generate big bucks unless you supplant it with a freemium model – free app with limited functionality+ads, paid app without ads and extra functionality.

The article above is retarded. It’s just a giant advertisement.

Advertising is not the only revenue source. Apps can also be monetized by add ons or plugins.
